Creating a virtual machine from an existing virtual disk in VMware Fusion

Today VMware KBTV has a new video for all of our VMware Fusion users.

This video tutorial discusses and demonstrates creating a virtual machine from an existing virtual disk in VMware Fusion.

You can create a totally new virtual machine from an existing virtual disk that once belonged to a different virtual machine. This is similar to taking a hard drive from one computer and putting it in another computer to boot. You might want do this after consolidating snapshots into a new virtual disk, or as a troubleshooting measure to rule out problems with an existing virtual machine’s configuration.
